Interest in Your Whisper Fine-Tuning Project
I came across your project on the fine-tuning of Whisper-large-v3 for improved Russian language support, and I just wanted to say — great work! I'm currently working on something similar, also focused on enhancing speech recognition models for underrepresented languages, and I found your approach and results really inspiring.
The improvement from 9.84 to 6.39 WER is impressive, especially with the use of Common Voice 17.0 — I see a lot of potential for this to lead to strong scientific publications as well.
I believe there's a real opportunity for collaboration here, as I have some complementary ideas and experiments in progress. If you're open to it, I’d love to connect and discuss how we could possibly work together or exchange insights.
